Her work experience, as a nurse practitioner, includes pediatrics, emergency department, primary care, women’s health and more.

As a Mexican-American provider, Sandra understands the health disparities certain populations in our rural community face in the healthcare setting. That is why she is committed to closing these gaps in patient quality and care. Sandra Cornine, is fluent in both English and Spanish; a valuable skill for decreasing health inequities among Spanish-speaking, and non-fluent English speaking, patients in Okeechobee, Florida, and surrounding counties.

Sandra also understands the limited resources available in smaller populations. Her dedication to each patient’s positive outcomes is rooted in her drive to get to the cause of the problem, and treat the “whole” patient, not just the symptom. Nurse Practitioner Sandra believes that having access to quality healthcare is necessary in a patient’s over-all health, including mental health services, resources, and screenings.

As a mother, Sandra has a patient point-of-view to the hardships many women face when receiving care. This is why she is passionate about providing both preventative care, and care management services to women in Okeechobee, and surrounding counties.
